Vision Tips to Protect Your Eyes
For those of us who have perfect vision, we often don’t thing about keeping our eyes healthy. We should realize that if we want to keep our perfect vision, we need to be proactive about our vision health. Here is a list of a few things we should all do to protect our eyes.
First, we should all be aware of eye diseases and be habitual with our eye exams. Some diseases like macular degeneration are age related. Glaucoma, retinopathy and cataract are all diseases common among Americans.
How many of us sit at a desk every day staring at a computer screen? How many of us know that eyestrain can lead to vision problems. Get a glare filter for your monitor, avoid sitting too close to your computer, set the background lighting so it’s no more than 10 times brighter than the screen. These are all good tips to preventing eye strains.
