Vision Impairment
About two years ago, I had a huge health scare. My vision was slowly and progressively getting worse over the course of a few weeks, and I was starting to get worried. I went to my general doctor and she referred me to an eye doctor who was covered by my insurance. I was really, really worried that my vision was going to go permanently.
When I got to the doctor he dilated my pupil by using these special drops so that he could see inside my eye. We were worried that something was maybe attacking my optic nerve, which would ruin my vision forever. After investigating, he told me that my optic nerve was fine and that he had found the problem to see very small, yet severe, lesions on the surface of my eye causing problems with my vision. Phew! I had never been so happy in my life! He prescribed me some drops which took care of the dry spots in a few weeks and I was as good as new!
