Losing Weight
I am out of shape and it is a bit disgusting. I ran into a couple old friends from college and I was mortified. We were on our college soccer team together and were gym addicts at the time. I’m not sure how they managed to maintain their level of fitness over all these years. They looked like they hadn’t gained a pound of fat nor lost a pound of muscle.
This got me thinking about my fitness habits or lack thereof. It’s easier for me to blame an outside influence than myself, so I would like to say that it was my career in corporate America that made me fat. Yep, it couldn’t be that I stopped eating correctly or going to the gym; it must be that I was working 55 hours a week and couldn’t find the time to hit the gym. Regardless of the excuses I tell myself and those around me, my fitness level is my fault.
