Learn From Teaching
Teaching English overseas can be a great way to travel and make some money while gaining valuable experience. Teaching overseas is not for everyone though; a person should be prepared to be on their own and comfortable with living an independent lifestyle. Also, sometimes it is difficult to communicate with those who you are teaching because English is obviously not their native language. So it can be a bit lonely. But, teachers are the most important people in our societies; they help us learn new and valuable information.
I taught English in Madagascar for a few months and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Furthermore, I learned a language different than my own and was able to experience life in an undeveloped nation, which was the most rewarding and interesting of all. I recommend that anyone take the opportunity to teach overseas if it is offered to them and be prepared for a life changing experience at the same time.
