Haircare
As a man, my brother knows nothing about hair care. He buys the two-in-one shampoo conditioner and he has never paid more than $12 for a haircut. Saving money on haircare seems to be a family trait. I mentioned this fact to my mother and she went on and on about the old home remedies she used to try on her hair to save money. However, I suggest you try cutting your own hair at your own risk; the old photos my mother showed me after she played stylist on herself were a bit scary. So here are a couple hair care home remedies in case you can’t afford to hit the salon.
For dry hair you can massage your scalp with olive oil. This was a favorite for my Italian mother, though it makes me hope the olive oil used for cooking was different. Another one of her haircare remedies included using lemon juice. If you want to get your hair shinier, just soak it in lemon juice. If life gives you dull hair, make lemonade, right?
