Flexibility For Sports

I consider myself to be pretty active, and one my favorite things to do to keep in shape is to go to yoga. I know it doesn’t sound very extreme, but that is the beauty of it. After skiing or running or hiking or any other sports that take a toll on my body, I love a good yoga session because I feel so energized afterwards. Although I don’t know if I’d classify yoga as a sport, it is definitely an activity that supports my sports habit and helps me be stronger, healthier, and more flexible.

Whether its Bikram or Ashtanga yoga, all I need is a good attitude and great instructor to enjoy my time. I have recently gotten into the habit of going to the same instructor once a week because I really like his style. In each session, I get all sweaty and flexible, so when I leave I feel like I just ran a race or something, but much more relaxed.
