Computer Crash
My computer recently died and I brought to a local technical shop to have it looked at. It is an HP laptop and I this is my fourth year of owning it. I have had numerous problems with the computer since I bought it, the first one being a straight out computer crash that cost me two of my final papers that were due soon after. This happened again not too long ago, and that’s when I had it taken it. Luckily, the person working on my computer has a degree in Information Technology, and she was able to recover the files I had lost.
Besides crashing, the computer is relatively slow in functioning and often freezes up. After I got it back, they told me that my computer had a year left at best. I am still using it now, and just waiting for the day when it finally dies. When I asked if it could be repaired so that it would last longer than a year, they said that computers just get ‘bogged down’ with applications and information and there is not efficient way to remove the footprint those leave on the system. What I have learned from all this is….next time I am getting a Mac.
