Cardio Training and Running
I hate running. It is my least favorite cardio exercise. Just looking at the treadmills in my gym makes me angry. I don’t understand how anyone can run in place on those things. There is no amount of television, music or people watching that can make the treadmill experience a good one. However, I know how important cardio training is for my lungs, heart and overall health, but I just can’t make myself do cardio on a treadmill.
People have suggested that running next to a friend can make it more enjoyable. No, it doesn’t. All of my friends are in better shape than me so if I get on a treadmill next to a friend, all I can think about is how much faster and how much farther my friend is going. That makes me even more angry. I’m doomed because every trainer on the planet tells me the importance of cardio training and running. Maybe I’ll just stop going to the gym and that’ll solve this problem.
