Heathcare Routine

Sunday, August 24th, 2008

An important part of your healthcare routine is taking good care of your teeth. To keep teeth clean, it is very important to floss. This step is often skipped by many people and leaves plaque in the spaces between teeth and along the bottom. When the plaque builds up, it can lead to gum diseases, cavities, bad breath and tooth discoloration. Plague and food left in the teeth can also lead to tooth decay.

To keep teeth clean, wind the floss around fingers and gently pull floss between teeth in an up and down motion. Clean the floss and repeat in other areas. Be careful not to floss too hard because you might cause bleeding to the gums which gets really uncomfortable. This takes minimal effort to enjoy cleaner teeth and fresher breath! Your dentist will also appreciate your diligence in taking care of your teeth, and you can rest easy knowing you have taken a positive step toward living a healthier life.
