Rewarding Vegetable Garden
Wednesday, January 30th, 2008Recently I have gotten into vegetable gardening. It is so exciting and rewarding to be eating the produce that I have grown myself! It requires a little grunt work to get it started but once you research which plants you’d like to grow and what they require, it’s easy. Some vegetables require lots of light while others can do with less, and the same is true for the amount of water required for the plant.
I love the way my vegetables taste and I love knowing what effort went into them to make them grow. Their colors are more vibrant and their taste is much bolder than plants you would find in the store. Also, I really appreciate the fact that the food has come from right by my house rather than 1500 miles away to sit on the shelves at the local grocery store.
