Lifting Weights At The Gym

Tuesday, June 19th, 2007

Lifting weights is something I want to work into my workout routine. It doesn’t seem very common to see women lifting at the gym, but I know that it would benefit me if I started to do it. I was once told that women don’t lift because they are always trying to slim down rather than bulk up, but most women physically can’t bulk up like men do. Instead, women will lose weight as they build more muscle.

Women see men lifting and gaining all of this muscle mass and that usually won’t happen to women. Lifting small weights (not too small!) will help any female slim down and tone up. It is really hard to put on huge muscles by lifting small weights frequently, but it is easy to trim down by incorporating strength training into a workout routine.
