Pet Tips
Friday, February 23rd, 2007Many people buy a pet thinking they have the space, time, and motivation to care for it. However, the quickly realize that they lack one of those three qualifiers and end up either neglecting their animal, returning it to the pound, or selling it to someone else. Animals do not transition well. This can cause some serious issues for an animal if they are constantly being shuffled around. Many people fail to consider the reality of owning a pet, and instead only imagine how friendly dogs are or how cute cats are.
Before you purchase your animal, consider those things mentioned above: space, time, and motivation. If you do not have enough space in your house or in your backyard to adequately provide for an animal, you need to either be willing to take them on a lot of walks, or be willing to wait until you move into a bigger place. Many college students buy pets, then they quickly realize they do not have the time for the pet. This can happen to anyone as well, pets require a certain amount of devotion and attention every day. Last, make sure you have the motivation to take care of an animal, because it is not easy.
Pet Health Insurance is relatively new but going broke because of vet bills is not!
