Program Language
Saturday, June 1st, 2002I love my IT team. I don’t understand a word they say but when I’m ready to throw my computer out the window and storm out of my office, they are there to help me relax and fix the problem. They usually just lean over my shoulder, press three buttons and say “ta-da”. I should really figure out what those three programming buttons are, it would save me a lot of foul language.
One afternoon the IT gang was speaking in code and talking about programming. Hey, a word I know. I can program things like my TiVo and alarm clock; this will be my chance to include myself in one of their conversations. Boy was I wrong. Apparently programming has to do with algorithms and coding used to create or adapt programs. That would have been nice to know before I walked over and opened my mouth. Now, every week they ask me how my alarm clock is doing.
