Remicade

REMICADE (infliximab) has been used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease, and recently psoriatic arthritis. Concerns have surfaced regarding the safety of this drug after a study was conducted by researchers from the FDA. Severe hepatic reactions, including acute liver failure, jaundice, hepatitis and cholestasis, have been reported in post-marketing data in patients receiving Remicade. Autoimmune hepatitis has been diagnosed in some of these cases. Severe hepatic reactions occurred between two weeks to more than a year after initiation of Remicade. Some of these cases were fatal or necessitated liver transplantation."

An additional advisory also indicated that Remicade may be linked to Lymphoma. The company says the Lymphoma-incidence rate was six times higher among all patients who took the drug in completed clinical trials.

If you or a loved one has been injured while taking Remicade, please submit the accompanying form. You may be entitled to monetary awards for your injury!
